Nollywood actress Empress Njamah has revealed that she recently turned down a marriage proposal from someone very close to her heart.
The actress explained that the man who proposed is a dear friend, which made the moment deeply emotional. The proposal happened in front of friends and family, catching her completely off guard.
“I prayed to God and He answered me and brought you my way. Will you marry me?”
Reacting in a heartfelt video, Empress said:
“I am so emotional right now, but I have to speak. You actually omitted the fact that you threw this in front of your friends and family. I respect them so much, and I am overwhelmed. I didn’t expect that it would happen so soon. Coming from the king of Abuja, for you to go on your knees, to do this for me… and at the end of the day, I said I am not interested.”
In her caption, she shared her final thoughts:
“AND I SAID NOOOOO, SAID NO TO MY GEE, GEE NO DEY MARRY GEE, BETTER FRIENDS THAN LOVERS.”
Despite the admiration she has for him, Empress made it clear that she values their friendship and believes it’s better preserved as it is.
