Blessing CEO Explains Why Men Struggle With Successful Wives

Blessing CEO says men don’t fear successful wives but the dominance that can follow success.

She advises women to stay emotionally soft, even when they earn more in marriage.

Popular relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, better known as Blessing CEO, has shared her view on why some men feel threatened when their wives become successful.

Speaking during a recent interview, the mother of two said that many women complain about their husbands growing insecure once they begin to earn more or gain financial independence.

However, Blessing clarified that it’s not the success itself that men fear, but the changes that sometimes come with it.

According to her, women often begin to adopt traits associated with masculinity, such as dominance and control, once they start providing for the household. This shift, she said, can create tension in marriages.

“No man is intimidated by your success. They are only afraid of the masculinity that comes with success. Because when a woman starts to make money on her own, she automatically becomes a man,” she said.

“Once you can provide, you automatically become a man. You will see yourself subconsciously dragging might. Because at the end of the day, what makes a man powerful is the ability to provide. That is what gives him that mantle.”

Blessing warned that some women begin to act like they are competing with their husbands, even without realizing it.

She encouraged women who earn more to remain emotionally soft and still play the role of a wife in their home.

“So I always tell women, no matter how much you have, just remember to be soft. Remember that you are a woman. Because once you start to show your husband that might saying, ‘Oh, my salary is bigger,’ he will do everything. Either he starts to cheat and look for a woman that is softer, or he leaves the marriage.”
