Temitope Solaja opens up about getting a BBL and dental work to boost her confidence.
The Nollywood actress says her transformation was personal, not driven by public pressure.
Nollywood star Temitope Solaja revealed that she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and fixed her teeth.
In an interview on Talk to B with Biola Bayo, Temitope revealed that her decision to undergo the BBL and fix her teeth were not due to external pressures but were choices she says made entirely for herself.
She shared:
“I love fashion. I love to dress up. But my body didn’t align with my style…I did the procedure to feel better in my own skin. When I dress, I want to look in the mirror and say, ‘Girl, you look good.’” She added that enhancing her teeth also helped her inner smile shine brighter, “I smile a lot. I wanted my smile to reflect how I feel inside,” she said.
While she was already considered beautiful, Temitope says the changes have boosted her confidence tremendously: “People tell me I look good, both online and in real life. And I appreciate it… I feel even more confident.”
She also reflected on a hurtful moment when trolls attacked her for a grammar slip in one of her movies: “I said, ‘Why did you sold me out,’ instead of ‘Why did you sell me out’… It hurt because we forgive people who make mistakes in Yoruba, but drag those who mess up in English and English isn’t even our language.”
Known by her stage name Aruga, Temitope revealed that she now tunes out negativity and focuses on self-love: “I don’t let people’s opinions define me anymore. I know who I am. I’m doing me, and I’m not done yet.”
