Barack and Michelle Obama Speak on Divorce Rumors After Long Silence
Rumors about Barack and Michelle Obama’s marriage hit social media, but the couple finally addressed them.
During a podcast with Michelle’s brother, the Obamas opened up about their bond and journey.
Former U.S. President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have finally spoken out about the swirling rumors of a split in their decades-long marriage.

The couple addressed the speculation during a new episode of the podcast ‘IMO’, hosted by Michelle and her brother, Craig Robinson. Barack joined the siblings for the episode, which featured lighthearted moments and honest conversation about life and marriage.
Craig jokingly remarked, “It’s nice to have you both in the same room,” prompting Michelle to quip, “I know, because when we aren’t, folks think we’re divorced.”
Barack, in his usual calm tone, said he often misses such gossip altogether. “So, I don’t even know this stuff’s going on. And then somebody will mention it to me, and I’m all like, ‘What are you talking about?’”
Michelle went on to shut down the rumors, offering heartfelt words about their relationship:
“There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I’ve thought about quitting on my man. And we’ve had some really hard times and we’ve had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person because of the man I’m married to.”
The former First Lady previously addressed similar speculation, saying in an interview on NPR’s Wild Card that the public isn’t privy to every aspect of their personal lives.
“Even in this phase in our lives, when Barack and I say something, right or wrong, it does get covered,” she said. “The fact that people don’t see me going out on a date with my husband sparks rumors of the end of our marriage.”
