Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has taken a fourth wife, Hiqma, in a quiet wedding ceremony held in Abuja on Saturday.
The intimate event, attended by close friends and family members, remained under wraps until it was confirmed publicly by the governor’s third wife, Hafiza Yahaya Bello, via Instagram.
“Alhamdulillah, our family just got a little bigger and more loving! A warm welcome to our new family member, Mrs. Hiqma Yahaya Bello! May Allah bless our union and fill our home with love, peace, and Barakah. Amin,” Hafiza wrote in the celebratory post.
Bello, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), served as Governor of Kogi State from 2016 to 2023. He made headlines during his time in office as Nigeria’s youngest sitting governor and was noted for his focus on security and youth empowerment.
Before marrying Hiqma, the former governor was already married to Amina Oyiza Bello, Rashida Yahaya Bello, and Hafiza Bello.
