Angela Okorie Apologizes to Mercy Johnson and Ned Nwoko After Police Petition

Angela Okorie publicly apologizes to Mercy Johnson and Ned Nwoko over past comments.

The actress admits her actions were hurtful, pledges peace, and asks for forgiveness from both parties.

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has tendered a public apology to fellow actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie and Senator Ned Nwoko, expressing deep regret over her past statements and actions, which she admitted were hurtful and uncalled for.

The apology follows reports that Mercy Johnson recently filed a police petition against Okorie, accusing her of persistent cyberbullying. In a lengthy Instagram post, Angela acknowledged that recent developments pushed her into a period of self-reflection, leading her to realize the damage her words may have caused.

Speaking directly to Mercy Johnson, Angela admitted she often reacts emotionally and says things from a place of pain, but now recognizes that those remarks affected Mercy’s peace and mental health. She pleaded for forgiveness and emphasized that causing harm was never her intention.

Turning to Senator Ned Nwoko, Angela also offered a heartfelt apology, admitting that her reaction toward him was driven by anger and was a response to what she called an “unprovoked bashing.” She said the issue escalated more than it should have and that she never meant any disrespect. Recalling her involvement in his political campaign and other family events, she stressed that peace is far better than public conflict.

Angela concluded by saying that although she had been a victim of lies and betrayal herself, she chooses to forgive those who wronged her and is committed to moving forward in peace.
