Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central and is currently under suspension, has declared that she will return to her seat at the National Assembly on Tuesday.

Speaking during a training programme in her constituency over the weekend, she explained that her planned return is based on a recent court decision. According to her, the legal ruling supports her right to resume legislative duties.

The senator said she has already informed the Senate through a written notice about her intention to return to the chamber.

She also mentioned that although there has been some debate over the Abuja Federal High Court ruling, she remains confident in her decision. Akpoti-Uduaghan said she is determined to carry out her duties, adding that her suspension had restricted her from doing so for too long.

“I still have about two months left before the suspension would have officially ended,” she said. “But I have written again to the Senate, informing them that I will resume on the 22nd of this month, which is Tuesday, by the grace of God.”
