Milkshake, the woman at the center of a viral cheating controversy involving Afrobeats star Davido, has now backtracked, claiming she never mentioned the singer in any of her online outbursts.
The scandal erupted after Milkshake made a series of social media posts accusing a woman named Jessie Awazie of being romantically involved with a top celebrity just one month before his wedding to Chioma. She claimed that the unnamed individual splurged on Jessie allegedly paying ₦25 million to suppress a sex tape, covering luxury hotel accommodations, gifting her a Birkin bag, and funding her business with $20,000. She also claimed Jessie had links with other public figures like Burna Boy, Zoro, and Shina Peller, urging them to get tested.
As the posts went viral, many assumed she was referring to Davido. But in a surprising twist, Milkshake took to Snapchat to refute the speculation, stating:
“It’s crãzy how far this has gone! I never mentioned Davido in any of my rants! That girl in question has many enemies waiting for this day to come. I was just dragging her for what she did to me, and she pushed me to the wall!”
She clarified that her remarks stemmed from a personal fallout with Jessie, accusing her of insults and refusing to refund a payment.
In another post, Milkshake claimed her account had been compromised:
“Please, I’m not the one posting this on this account! This is not me! I added this person to plead, but the person blocked me asap! I’ve been getting threats from people. Jessie has enemies waiting to drag her down. This is not me I have no reason to hide behind a fake account!”
