Tragedy struck in the Okitipupa area of Ondo State as a young man named Micheal reportedly died following complications from a stab wound allegedly inflicted by his girlfriend during a heated argument.
Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred a few days ago when the couple got into a fight, during which Micheal was stabbed in the leg. He was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, treated, and later discharged, though he was still recovering.
Sadly, his condition worsened late Saturday night, prompting another emergency visit to a private hospital in the area. Micheal was confirmed dead in the early hours of Sunday.
Although the exact reason for the quarrel is still unknown, posts on Micheal’s social media and comments from some relatives indicate that the relationship had been rocky, with repeated arguments. Some family members also claimed that Micheal had previously been advised to leave the relationship.
His body has been deposited in a morgue as police begin a full investigation into the case.
