Radiogad accuses VeryDarkMan of exploiting Mohbad’s death for clout and social media profit.
He slams attacks on Iyabo Ojo and Samklef, says tragedy is being twisted for personal gain.
Popular media figure Radiogad has publicly criticized social media commentator VeryDarkMan, accusing him of using the death of late Afrobeats singer Mohbad to gain attention and financial benefit.
In a video shared online, Radiogad alleged that VeryDarkMan has made the tragedy about himself, rather than respecting the memory of the late singer. He condemned VeryDarkMan’s attacks on actress Iyabo Ojo, music producer Samklef, and others who were vocal in seeking justice for Mohbad.
According to Radiogad, Mohbad’s death was likely due to drug use an addiction he claims stemmed from the emotional toll of alleged bullying by his former label boss, Naira Marley.
He said in part:
“It’s clear you’re trying to make Mohbad’s death all about you. Why are you telling people they planned to arrest you in a group? What’s the relevance? Why are you hinting at Davido’s associate if you want to call out Davido, do it directly.
You’re attacking people like Iyabo Ojo and Samklef who actually stood up for Mohbad. Why twist the story? Why are you manipulating your gullible followers, VeryDarkMan? You’re using the death of a young man to chase clout and make money on social media.”
