Akwa Ibom to Hire 3,000 Civil Servants via ARISE Youth Employment Portal
Akwa Ibom State has approved the recruitment of 3,000 professionals to strengthen civil service delivery.
The exercise, part of the ARISE Agenda, will be conducted via a dedicated youth employment portal.
The Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the recruitment of 3,000 professionals into its Mainstream Civil Service to boost public service delivery and empower young people across the state.
Governor Umo Eno gave the green light for the wide-ranging exercise, which will cover sectors such as education, healthcare, engineering, law, agriculture, science, and administration.
Announcing the development on Monday, the Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy, Frank Ekpenyong, said the recruitment will take place exclusively through the state’s ARISE Youth Employment Portal: https://employment.akwaibomstate.gov.ng.
He described the move as a transparent job creation initiative under the governor’s ARISE Agenda.
“The appointments cut across various disciplines and levels from teachers and nurses to administrators, engineers, scientists, lawyers, technicians, accountants, and agriculturists,” the commissioner said.
Interested applicants must register on the portal, upload relevant documents such as academic certificates, NYSC discharge or exemption certificates, and other necessary credentials before applying.
The ministry advised that each candidate should apply for only one position that matches their qualifications. A valid email address will be required for all communication during the process.
After the application period ends, shortlisted candidates will be notified through the portal and will need to confirm their selection online. Those invited for interviews will receive QR-coded invitations with specific details.
Some roles may involve an aptitude test, and candidates will be informed in advance through the portal. On the day of the test or interview, applicants are to bring their invitation slip, original certificates, and writing materials.
Successful candidates will be informed via the portal and assigned to appropriate departments for documentation and onboarding. Once appointed, their status on the portal will be updated to “Employed.”
Ekpenyong added that government departments are currently wrapping up internal processes, and available vacancies will be posted on or before July 31, 2025.
“We wish all applicants the very best and appreciate your interest in serving Akwa Ibom State,” he concluded.
