Mohbad’s Death: Pauloo Defends Naira Marley and Sam Larry, Demands Nurse be Questioned
Pauloo insists Naira Marley and Sam Larry are innocent, blames nurse for Mohbad’s tragic death.
He urges unity, demands nurse’s interview, and calls for a peaceful, dignified burial.
Paul Okoye, popularly known as Pauloo and partner to actress Iyabo Ojo, has spoken out about the ongoing debate surrounding the death of singer Mohbad and the lingering accusations involving Naira Marley.
Iyabo Ojo played a leading role in the justice campaign for Mohbad, becoming one of the voices that demanded accountability. As the case gained public attention, tensions rose between her and Marlian Music boss Naira Marley, along with his close associate Sam Larry.
In an Instagram live chat with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, Pauloo addressed what he described as false narratives being circulated online. He firmly stated, “Naira Marley and Sam Larry did not have a hand in Mohbad’s demise.” He went on to clarify that Naira Marley was outside Nigeria at the time of the singer’s death.
According to Pauloo, Mohbad’s death was the result of medical negligence. He explained that a nurse who administered an injection to the singer was likely responsible, although it may not have been deliberate. He described the situation as a case of carelessness rather than foul play.
He urged the late singer’s family to come together and ensure Mohbad is given a proper burial. “The nurse did not intentionally kill Mohbad. I am suggesting that the family should come together and give him a befitting burial,” he said.
Pauloo also appealed for peace among those seeking justice, urging them to look into the nurse’s role more closely. He emphasized that she was the last person to see Mohbad alive but has remained silent ever since.
Speaking further, he said that the police had already done their part, but the public still lacked crucial information. He encouraged activist VeryDarkMan to help locate and interview the nurse so her side of the story could be heard.
