FG Launches Manhunt for Syndicates Scamming NSCDC, Immigration, Fire Service, and NCoS Applicants

FG launches manhunt for fraudsters scamming job seekers in ongoing paramilitary recruitment drive.

Applicants warned against fake websites and urged to avoid paying money for job placements.

The Federal Government has launched a coordinated manhunt to dismantle criminal syndicates allegedly defrauding job seekers applying to Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Abdulmalik Jibrin, Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), revealed that the fraudulent groups have been impersonating officials and operating fake recruitment websites to scam desperate applicants during the ongoing nationwide recruitment exercise.

Jibrin warned that the syndicates are demanding payments in exchange for job offers, targeting individuals hoping to join the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), or the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS).

“The Board wishes to reiterate that all stages of its recruitment process do not attract payment of any fee,” the statement clarified.

The only official portal for the recruitment exercise remains: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng

Jibrin added that relevant security agencies had been notified and are actively tracking down members of the fraudulent networks, with the intent to arrest and prosecute those found responsible.

The CDCFIB urged all applicants to remain vigilant and to avoid engaging with unofficial platforms or individuals claiming to offer job placement assistance. The board emphasized that no third party or intermediary has been authorized to act on its behalf or collect money at any stage of the application process.
