He stormed the runway, nearly got hit by the aircraft, and sparked safety concerns nationwide.
Veteran Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, was involved in a dramatic incident at the Abuja airport on Wednesday morning after he was nearly struck by a ValueJet aircraft.
According to eyewitnesses, the singer was scheduled to fly from Abuja to Lagos aboard a ValueJet flight but was reportedly deboarded by the crew over an alleged violation of aviation regulations details of which remain undisclosed.
Frustrated by the development, KWAM 1 allegedly stormed onto the tarmac in protest and attempted to block the aircraft’s departure by standing directly in its path.
A viral video from the scene captures the tense moment the aircraft began to taxi, moving dangerously close to the singer as he confronted airport staff. The plane narrowly avoided hitting him.
