He proposes building a luxury Music City to boost tourism, tech, and entertainment revenues.
Political commentator Isaac Fayose has claimed he could generate ₦2 billion within six months if he were governor of Lagos State.
Speaking during an interview on the Honest Bunch podcast, Fayose criticised the current administration’s revenue strategies, insisting he would outperform them financially through innovative entertainment-based projects.
“Is he even generating money?” Fayose asked rhetorically. “If I’m Lagos State Governor, I can generate two billion in six months.”
He went on to outline his vision, which includes establishing a Music City between Ikate and Ilashe, accessible only by boat. According to him, this “artist city” would serve as a tourist and creative hub, complete with luxury apartments, a walk of fame, and global tech company involvement.
“Sell apartments for a million dollars. Bring in companies like Google and Netflix. Convert Yahoo boys to tech boys it’s easy now,” he added.
Fayose also lamented the lack of access to financial support for ordinary citizens, saying, “You go to the bank, they’ll ask for your mother’s DNA and your father’s before giving you anything, while you’re sitting on trillions and your people are poor.”
