The protest reignites public anger over recurring crashes involving Dangote vehicles and unresolved victim compensation cases.
VeryDarkMan, together with members of RATEL, on Monday stopped a Dangote company truck moving through Auchi, Edo State.
In a viral video, the group was seen halting one of the vehicles transporting passengers. The travelers were reportedly given money to continue their journey to Benin City using other means of transport, while the truck was barred from proceeding.
In a separate video, at Auchi roadside surrounded by many, VeryDarkMan renewed his call for justice, urging Dangote Group to take responsibility for victims of accidents caused by its trucks. He stressed that several people remain in hospitals with heavy medical bills after being crushed by vehicles belonging to the company.
The protest follows rising public anger over recurring crashes involving Dangote trucks, including the case of BBNaija winner Phyna Otabor’s sister, Ruth, who was hospitalized after being hit by one of the company’s vehicles in Auchi.
