Nollywood actress Bose Alao has been left in mourning following the death of her husband, former Benin Republic international footballer Razak Omotoyossi.

The ex-striker passed away on August 19, 2025, at the age of 38.
Omotoyossi enjoyed a successful career across Europe, playing for clubs such as FC Metz in France and Helsingborgs IF in Sweden. He rose to prominence as one of Benin’s most celebrated footballers after switching allegiance to represent the national team.
He holds a place in history as the first Beninese player to score at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). His remarkable four-goal performance against Togo during the 2008 AFCON qualifiers is still remembered as one of the country’s finest football moments.
Bose Alao and Omotoyossi got married in 2007, and their union is blessed with four children.
