The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has called on participants of the National Defence College (NDC) Course 33 to put into practice the knowledge and expertise gained during their training in confronting Nigeria’s security concerns.

Matawalle made the appeal during the Graduation Dinner and Award Night for the 11-month strategic program held on Wednesday in Abuja.

While congratulating the graduates and their families, Matawalle praised the NDC for maintaining its reputation as a world-class institution in defence, security, and strategic studies. He also acknowledged the contributions of international participants, stressing that their involvement had not only enriched academic engagements but also strengthened Nigeria’s diplomatic ties with partner countries.
Speaking on behalf of President Bola Tinubu and Nigerians, the minister extended warm wishes to the graduates and urged foreign participants to remain proud ambassadors of the college, continuing to support Nigeria in both personal and diplomatic roles.
He further noted that the journey had been mentally demanding, but within those challenges, participants had gained deep knowledge and built lasting friendships.
