Labour Minister of State, Onyejeocha, Says She Has No Office to Work From
Minister of State for Labour, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, says she has no office at the ministry.
She urged quick completion of the NDE building to address the accommodation crisis for officials.
Nigeria’s Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Dr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has disclosed that she currently does not have a designated office space within the ministry.

Onyejeocha made the revelation on Thursday while lamenting the accommodation crisis affecting her ministry. She noted that even the temporary space she had been using was recently reassigned to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Aviation.
“This is the Ministry of Labour and Employment, yet the Minister of State has no office. The space I was managing has now been given to the Permanent Secretary of Aviation. So where exactly am I expected to operate from?” she asked.
The minister explained that arrangements had earlier been made for her to move to the seventh floor of the ministry’s headquarters, but those offices remain incomplete and are unlikely to be ready soon.
Onyejeocha emphasized the urgency of completing the ongoing renovation of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) building, describing it as the only viable option for accommodating officials still without offices.
“We need to channel all efforts into finishing the NDE building as quickly as possible. Once that project is completed, those of us without offices will finally have a proper place to work from,” she stressed.
