Mohbad’s Father Insists Naira Marley Harassed His Son Despite Denials
Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, has dismissed Naira Marley’s denial of mistreating his late son.
He insisted Mohbad suffered harassment under Marley’s watch, citing personal encounters and insider reports.
Joseph Aloba, father of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, has rejected claims by Naira Marley that he had no hand in the struggles his son endured during his lifetime.

Speaking in an interview with Sunday Scoop, Aloba maintained that Mohbad was indeed harassed under Marley’s supervision, regardless of the singer’s public denial. He recalled confronting Naira Marley after hearing troubling accounts from his son and later witnessing incidents himself that confirmed Mohbad’s mistreatment.
Aloba revealed that even a member of Marley’s team once confided in him about instances of physical assault against the late artist.
“I went to see Naira Marley over some of the things Mohbad had said, and that was all. But later, a lot of other things happened that I personally witnessed. There were about three other people present at the time; two of them are still alive today.”
“They were people working with Naira Marley, even though they were younger and still under him. One of them once came to me to report that Naira Marley was beating Mohbad.”
“When we went to see him to apologize, he wasn’t even speaking respectfully. People think I went there to collect money, but life is much more than just what I want to eat.”
Aloba’s statement adds a fresh twist to the ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad’s troubled past and his strained ties with Naira Marley.
