Nkechi Blessing Sunday expressed disappointment after fans ignored her during a recent illness.
The actress rewarded one loyal follower, stressing that future giveaways will favor genuine supporters.
Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has shared her disappointment over the lack of concern she received from her Instagram followers while she was sick for three days.
In a video posted online, the mother of one revealed that during her time offline, no one checked in on her wellbeing except for one user, identified as @patcollections. She contrasted this with how quickly her page usually fills with comments whenever she announces a giveaway.
According to Nkechi, the experience opened her eyes to the reality that much of the attention on social media is superficial. She stressed that people must learn to live for themselves because once someone is gone, the world quickly moves on.
“Three whole days I was offline on Instagram. Nobody send my father, nobody even say ah, NBS where have you been, except one person @patcollections… But if to say I no come make this video, I just spring up or say I wan do giveaway, you will see more than one million comments in seconds. What does that tell you? Nobody really send you for here. All man for himself.”
Nkechi disclosed that she is recovering from the illness and decided to reward @patcollections with a luxury bag and ₦100,000 for being the only person to check on her. She added that moving forward, her giveaways will be reserved for genuine supporters, not those who only show up when money or gifts are involved.
“Please all the rest of you keep your fake love. This time around I just won’t do giveaway because I have, it’s for people wey actually get sense and wey need am,” she said.
