Buhari’s Granddaughter Halima Junaid to Tie the Knot in Kaduna
Halima Amira Junaid, granddaughter of ex-President Buhari, will wed Walid Shehu Mauzu in Kaduna on August 30.
The ceremony, featuring traditional festivities, has attracted attention over noticeable absences within Buhari’s family.
Halima Amira Junaid, granddaughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, is set to marry Walid Shehu Mauzu in Kaduna State.

Halima is the daughter of Nana Hadiza, who married former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), as his third wife a few years ago. Hadiza, one of Buhari’s daughters from an earlier marriage, was previously married to Captain Junaid Abdullahi, with whom she had six children.
The wedding is scheduled to hold on August 30, 2025, with a lineup of pre-wedding festivities, including a bridal soiree, Kamu, and a grand dinner.

However, the celebrations have drawn attention as several members of the former first family were notably absent from the occasion.
