Phyna has urged Dangote Group to take full responsibility for her sister’s medical care abroad.
She insisted Ruth must be flown to India after injuries from a recent Edo accident.
BBNaija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has called on the Dangote Group to take responsibility for the medical treatment of her sister, Ruth Otabor, who was injured in a recent accident in Edo State.
Phyna insisted that her sister must be flown to India for proper treatment after the accident, which occurred on August 13, 2025, near Auchi Polytechnic. The incident happened just six days after Ruth’s graduation and left her with severe injuries that led to the amputation of her leg.
In a Sunday post, Phyna wrote: “I am treating my sister as if she were Dangote’s child, because if it were his, they wouldn’t leave them here they would fly them abroad.” Dangote will not bring his child here. They must fly her to India.”
Meanwhile, the Dangote Group confirmed it had visited the accident scene, spoken with law enforcement, and met the family at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital. The company also pledged to provide full medical support and compensation in line with its welfare policy.
