Veteran actress Patience Umeh has revealed that Chioma Chukwuka’s Catholic upbringing influences her rejection of kissing roles.
She described her colleague as disciplined, though Chioma has occasionally featured in romantic scenes.
Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Umeh has shared insights into why her colleague, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, is known for rejecting romantic and kissing roles in movies.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Where Is The Lie podcast, Umeh linked Chioma’s choices to her strict Catholic upbringing.
She said:
“Chioma Chukwuka was brought up in a very Catholic home. She doesn’t accept kissing or romantic roles in movies. I’m saying this out of experience. She was a legionary. She has been a good girl.”
However, her comments appear to contrast with some of Chioma’s filmography. Despite her reputation, the actress has taken on romantic roles in the past, including in the movie Seven Doors, where she shared an onscreen kiss with co-star Femi Adebayo.
