Over 10,000 Members Dump APC, PDP for ADC in Benue
Over 10,000 members of PDP, APC and other parties have joined the ADC in Agatu.
Leaders say the mass defection marks a new political era and stronger grassroots support.
More than 10,000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political groups have joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.

The mass defection happened on Saturday, May 13, 2025, during the official launch of the ADC in Agatu by the Benue State Chairman of the party, Rt. Hon. Terngu Tsegba. The event attracted a large crowd of supporters and followers of Sir John Ngbede, a key political figure in the area. Ngbede also donated a building to serve as the party’s new secretariat in Agatu.
Speaking at the event, Tsegba praised the local leadership of the ADC for holding what he described as the biggest unveiling in the state. He commended Ngbede for mobilising grassroots support and said the ADC would bring inclusiveness, stability and internal democracy to the local government. He also expressed confidence that the party would win future elections in the area.

Sir John Ngbede, who has previously served as Commissioner for Water Resources in Benue State, Chairman of Agatu LGA, State PDP Chairman and Deputy Governorship Candidate in the 2023 elections, was officially introduced as the leader of ADC in Agatu. In his remarks, Ngbede declared that “the dominance of PDP and APC in Agatu is over,” a statement that drew loud cheers from the crowd.
The event also featured the commissioning of the new party office, highlighting the ADC’s growing presence in the area. Party leaders stressed that the ADC would focus on grassroots mobilization and community development.

Several political figures attended the event, including State Secretary Rt. Hon. Samson Okwu; Hon. Chris Adaba Aba; Hon. David Adejoh Olofu; Alhaji Salisu Sule Odaliko; Rt. Hon. Herman Hembe; Chief Mrs. Abeje Egwa; Prof. Salifu David; Engr. Solomon Eigege; and many other stakeholders and supporters from the local government area.
They are the 10,000 political morons of Nigeria. ADC can never do well as a political party.
The patty consists of ADC coalition members that are disgruntled and criminal politicians.
