ICE Arrests Nigerian Man in Texas for Sex Offender Violations
ICE has arrested 31-year-old Nigerian Chinomso Uma Ochie in Texas over alleged sex-offender violations.
Officials said his case will proceed under U.S. immigration and criminal laws.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has taken a 31-year-old Nigerian man, Chinomso Uma Ochie, into custody in San Antonio, Texas, over alleged violations linked to sex-offender offences.

ICE said in a statement released on September 15, 2025, that Ochie had breached conditions attached to his stay in the United States and was arrested as part of ongoing enforcement operations.
The agency stressed that foreign nationals convicted of crimes involving children risk losing their right to remain in the country. According to ICE, being allowed to live in the U.S. is a privilege, not a right, and individuals who break the law especially through offences targeting minors can be detained and stripped of immigration benefits.
Officials added that Ochie’s case would proceed under existing immigration and criminal statutes, with further legal actions expected following his arrest.
