Police Discover Decomposed Bodies of Woman and Two Children Inside Abaji Shop
FCT police discover the decomposing bodies of a mother and her two children inside a locked shop in Abaji.
Authorities launch an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths.
Police operatives in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have uncovered the decomposing remains of a woman and her two children in a locked shop on Tudun Wada Street, Abaji.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the grim discovery was made on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, after a resident alerted authorities to a strong stench coming from the premises.
Responding to the call, police detectives joined officials from the Area Council’s Environment Department and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) personnel at the scene. The shop was forced open with the help of neighbours. Inside, officers found the bodies of 44-year-old Nnena Ann Patrick Okorie, her 13-year-old daughter Christiana and nine-year-old son Ebube, all originally from Amechi Ohaozara Local Government Area in Ebonyi State.
The remains were taken to Abaji General Hospital, where doctors confirmed the deaths and deposited the corpses in the hospital morgue.
Police say an investigation is under way to determine how the mother and her two children died.
