Nancy Isime Reveals Childhood Struggles, Says She Was Born With Silver Spoon
Nancy Isime recounts losing her “golden spoon” childhood after her mother’s death at age five.
She tells Ebuka how hardship shaped her journey before becoming a leading Nollywood actress and TV host.
Nollywood actress and TV host Nancy Isime has opened up about her life, revealing that she was “born with a golden spoon” but lost it after her mother died when she was just five years old.

Nancy shared these details during a heartfelt conversation with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on “The Nancy Isime Show”. The actress said after the death of her mother life became extremely difficult for her father, who had previously been comfortable, and they were forced to move frequently, sometimes living with relatives.
She recounted how, after moving to Benin, she visited her father one day and discovered he was living in an uncompleted building. She described how snakes and birds were frequent visitors, forcing her to stay indoors and making her feel shy about inviting people over.
The actress explained that she first completed her father’s house before building her own. Despite the achievement, she chose not to flaunt it online because of how others had been criticized for showing off their homes.
