In a heartfelt message posted on Instagram, the iconic artist expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and the grace to reach such a landmark moment. “Today, I give thanks to Almighty God for the gift of life and the grace to celebrate my golden jubilee, 50 years on earth and also a historic milestone of 25 years in the music industry,” he wrote.
2Baba reflected on his remarkable journey, paying tribute to friends and colleagues who started with him but are no longer alive. He credited his success to the unwavering love and support of his family, including his wife, children, and siblings, as well as the loyalty of his fans across Africa and beyond.
He announced that his official celebration has been postponed rather than canceled, explaining that he plans to merge his 50th birthday and his 25th anniversary in music into one unforgettable event.
