Newskobo.com reported that the Rivers State House of Assembly resumed sitting on Thursday following the restoration of normal legislative activities. Many residents saw Fubara’s arrival as an important sign that things are beginning to settle after a long period of uncertainty in the oil-rich state.

Despite the large crowd at the airport and near Government House, the governor did not immediately move to the state’s seat of power. His quiet return left residents and political watchers wondering what steps he will take next as Rivers State returns to regular governance.
