Sarah Martins Condemns Body Shaming, Defends Women Who Choose Liposuction
Sarah Martins urges Nigerians to stop body shaming and criticizing women who undergo liposuction surgery.
She explains the procedure’s limits and calls for respect for personal choices and body positivity.
Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has spoken out against the growing trend of body shaming women and criticizing those who undergo liposuction surgery.

In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, the actress urged people to stop looking down on women who choose to enhance their bodies, stressing that most people do not understand the effort required to achieve lasting results.
According to her, liposuction alone cannot “fix” massive weight, and many people also undergo gastric bypass before liposuction to get the desired outcome.
Sarah Martins explained that people often wrongly assume liposuction can magically fix the entire body. She noted that the procedure can only “fix a belly that has already lost a huge amount of weight” and not the whole body, adding that losing weight first is still necessary to get good results.
She also condemned body shaming, saying that no one has the right to talk down on another person’s body type. If someone is confident in their natural body, she said they should “rock it with pride,” but if they feel surgery will enhance their appearance, they should also go ahead.
“It’s your money and your happiness, too, so do what works for you! Even people who are naturally curvy and work so hard to maintain their figure are also being accused of undergoing surgery because nobody seems to believe some women are naturally built that way.”
Sarah Martins further stated that even after surgery, people must maintain their figure by eating healthy or risk returning to their previous shape.
“STOP BODY SHAMING PEOPLE!!!!!,” She said.
