Over 73,000 people filled State Farm Stadium in Arizona for the memorial of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Turning Point USA said more than 200,000 registered for the event, showing his wide influence.
More than 73,000 people packed the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, September 21, for the memorial service of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The 73,000 seat stadium reached capacity within hours of opening at 8 a.m., while thousands more were redirected to the nearby Desert Diamond Arena, which served as an overflow venue.
Turning Point USA, the organization Kirk co-founded, reported that over 200,000 people registered for the memorial. The event featured tributes from U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, who spoke about his influence and legacy.
Many attendees arrived as early as 4 a.m., dressed in red, white, and blue as requested by organizers. Parking lots quickly overflowed, forcing some mourners to walk nearly two miles to reach the venue.
Charlie Kirk, 31, was a prominent conservative activist, speaker, and co-founder of Turning Point USA, an organization aimed at mobilizing young conservatives across the United States. He was tragically shot and killed on the 10th of September, 2025, during an event at Utah Valley University, in what Utah Governor Spencer Cox described as “a political assassination.” Authorities are still investigating the incident and searching for a suspect.
