NYSC Announces September 24 Start for 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation
NYSC announces September 24 as the start of 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II orientation nationwide.
The scheme outlines registration, safety guidelines and documentation rules for thousands of prospective corps members.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Wednesday, September 24, 2025, as the commencement date for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course in camps across Nigeria.

In a statement posted on its official Facebook page on Monday, the scheme said registration of Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) would continue until midnight on Friday, September 26, with the swearing-in ceremony also set for that day. The three-week program is scheduled to conclude with a passing-out event on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
NYSC, however, announced a different timetable for Kwara State, where the orientation course will open on Tuesday, September 30, and end on Monday, October 20, 2025.
Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu, called on all PCMs to report to the orientation camps indicated in their call-up letters and comply with registration requirements. He advised foreign-trained graduates to present their international passports alongside the original copies of documents uploaded during their online registration.
The DG warned that anyone presenting forged credentials would be handed over to security agencies for prosecution. He stressed that graduates of monotechnics and polytechnics must bring their National Diploma certificates as part of the documentation process.
NYSC also reminded candidates who lost their call-up letters to obtain a police report and sworn affidavit before returning to their institutions for replacements. Those who printed theirs online were advised to reprint their letters.
Highlighting safety concerns, the corps cautioned PCMs against night travel and urged them to make use of military or police barracks, NYSC secretariats or corps lodges if they cannot complete their journey before 6:00 p.m. It also advised them to only use government-approved motor parks and reputable transport companies to avoid falling victim to crime.
Brigadier-General Nafiu reiterated that refusal to report for service or illegal participation in the scheme constitutes an offence under the NYSC Act. He noted that married, pregnant or nursing mothers posted outside their husbands’ states could complete the orientation program closer to home once they present proof of marriage, their spouse’s identification, and evidence of residence.
For registration, the corps advised all PCMs to bring their original call-up letters, statements of result or certificates, school identity cards, and medical fitness reports issued by government or military hospitals, duly stamped by the Nigerian Medical Association. Medical and allied health graduates must also show proof of registration with their respective professional bodies.
The NYSC wished all prospective corps members safe journeys to their camps and a successful service year.
