FBI Offers $10,000 Reward for Capture of Nigerian Fugitive Wanted on U.S. Fraud Charges
The FBI has offered a $10,000 reward for information on Nigerian national Olumide Adebiyi Adediran.
He fled the U.S. in December 2001 before his trial on bank and credit card fraud charges.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the capture and conviction of Nigerian national Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, who is wanted in the United States for breaching his release conditions.

According to U.S. authorities, Adediran absconded from the Central District of Illinois in late December 2001, just before the start of his federal trial. He had been facing multiple charges, including bank fraud, identity document fraud, and credit card fraud offences associated with complex financial schemes targeting both individuals and institutions.
The FBI said Adediran’s case involves a serious violation of release conditions. This offence occurs when a defendant, granted freedom under certain court-imposed restrictions, deliberately breaks those terms in this instance by fleeing prosecution.
Officials have described Adediran as a significant flight risk who deliberately avoided the judicial process, and they are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in tracking him down.
