Cubana Chief Priest Opens Up on His Biggest Regret and Late Mother’s Wish
Cubana Chief Priest revealed his late mother’s wish for him to become a Catholic priest.
He shared how her dream shaped his journey and inspired a heartfelt thanksgiving song.
Celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest has opened up about one of his deepest regrets, revealing how his late mother’s dreams for him still shape his life.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, he explained that his mother always wanted him to become a Catholic priest, a promise she made to God while struggling to conceive.
He recounted that his mother had prayed for six years before conceiving his older brother, whom she named Onyinyechukwu (“Gift from God”), and later gave birth to him under complications, naming him Chibuike (“God is my strength”). Cubana Chief Priest wrote that he tried to gain admission to the seminary but could not make it to the priesthood, saying, “Many are called but few are chosen.”
Reflecting on how her passing transformed his life, he noted that it will be ten years next year since she died, and “everyone who really knows my real story will testify that after my mom made it to heaven my story changed for good.” He added that he still feels guilty for not fulfilling her dream of calling her “Mama Father” but instead becoming the Chief Priest.
Despite this regret, the nightlife entrepreneur said he is still doing God’s work in his own way. He shared that he has recorded a Catholic thanksgiving song in her honor, featuring @zoroswagbag and produced by @masterkraft “I have it all from family to fame, friends, connect, wealth, music etc. Indeed there is joy in my heart & it’s flowing like a river,” he wrote, promising to release the track once it hits 1,000 comments.
