Supporter of Governor Zulum Loses Two Children, Neighbour’s Child After Kidnapping in Borno
Three kidnapped children, including two of Zannah Jaridama’s, were found dead days after disappearance.
The discovery came shortly after Jaridama openly criticized powerful figures linked to Governor Babagana Zulum’s administration.
Three children two belonging to Zannah Jaridama Bornoye, a strong supporter of Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, and one belonging to his neighbor have been found dead a few days after being kidnapped by unknown persons.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed that the children’s bodies were discovered on Thursday, September 25, 2025, just days after Jaridama publicly criticized alleged cabals and politicians in the state.
Jaridama had recently accused influential figures of undermining Governor Zulum’s administration. In a widely shared video, he said certain individuals close to the governor project loyalty in public while enriching themselves with contracts and appointments, offering little real support for the government’s agenda. He alleged that many of the governor’s so-called loyalists were more interested in wealth and prestige than in genuine service.
On Facebook, Jaridama accused unnamed individuals of hypocrisy, claiming they sought the governor’s help for weddings, housing, or tuition fees but failed to stand by him when needed. He warned that those funding youths to attack the governor’s image while benefiting from government resources would eventually be exposed. He also said he was ready to defend his accusations in court if challenged.
Within 24 hours of his outburst, tragedy struck. His two children Mama, a four-year-old girl in pink, and Anwar, a two-year-old boy in green disappeared while playing outside their home along with another child belonging to a neighbor.
In a series of emotional posts, Jaridama pleaded for their release, even offering to surrender himself in exchange for their safety. Despite his appeals, the children were later found dead in the boot of his car in the early hours of Thursday.
