Political heavyweights and dignitaries converged in Abuja to witness Dr Chikamkpa Amaechi’s grand church wedding celebration.
The event featured top leaders, ex-presidents’ spouses and governors, creating an atmosphere of glamour and influence.
Prominent political figures and dignitaries gathered in Abuja on Saturday for the church wedding of Dr. Chikamkpa Amaechi, the son of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and his bride Anita Nwabueze.
Among those present were former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former Senate President David Mark. Other notable guests included former First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan, Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and former Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong.
During the ceremony, Rev. Fr. Steve Dedua urged the couple to build their marriage on patience and faith in God. He reminded them that marriage is a divine institution established from the beginning of creation, adding, “What God has joined together, let no man or woman put asunder.” He also expressed concern about the growing rate of divorce globally and encouraged the couple to set an example by keeping God at the centre of their home.
At the reception, Governor Otti advised the newlyweds to communicate openly and resolve conflicts peacefully, noting that this would help them sustain a lasting and happy marriage.
The church wedding came just one week after the couple held their traditional marriage ceremony in Abuja.
