Bauchi Governor Removes Women Affairs Commissioner
Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed has removed Zainab Baban-Takko as Commissioner for Women Affairs.
Officials say the dismissal is part of a minor cabinet reshuffle announced on Monday.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has dismissed Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko from her role as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development.

The announcement was made in a statement released on Monday, September 29, 2025, by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
According to the statement, the removal of the commissioner was part of a minor reshuffle in the State Executive Council. It added that Zainab Baban-Takko’s appointment was terminated with immediate effect.
The governor expressed appreciation for her contributions to the state and wished her well in her future endeavours.
This change comes shortly after the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission sacked two senior officials over alleged forgery.
