Global investors, major banks, technology giants, and local startups are converging for Nigeria Fintech Week 2025, a key event showcasing innovations driving Africa’s digital economy.
This year’s edition, themed “The Fintech Ecosystem Symphony: Orchestrating Nigeria’s Digital Future”, highlights how financial technology is expanding beyond banking into areas like health, agriculture, lifestyle, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance.
Organizers expect more than 20,000 participants across Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu, making it one of Africa’s biggest gatherings of digital economy stakeholders. Top sponsors and partners include First Bank, Huawei, Mastercard, Sumsub, Zenith Bank, PAPSS, Rwanda Finance, and Network International. Their presence, according to organizers, reflects the growing strength and credibility of Nigeria’s fintech ecosystem.
Mastercard’s West Africa Country Manager, Dr. Folasade Femi-Lawal, described the event as a platform for meaningful interaction between investors and innovators. A Huawei representative also noted the company’s long-time support for the program, saying the 2025 theme fits its mission of using technology to connect people and businesses.
