The governor, represented by Emir Sanusi II and the Director-General of Kan-Invest, Muhammad Halliru, took part in a series of events that focused on development and investment opportunities for African states. His spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, confirmed this in a statement issued in Kano on Wednesday.

During the meetings, the delegation held talks with international partners, including Kenyan social entrepreneur Wawira Njiru, founder of Food4Education, to explore access to African Development Bank funding for school feeding projects.

The team also joined high-profile sessions such as the Global Compact: Unstoppable Africa and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Goalkeepers Event, where Kano’s investment potential was presented.

Governor Yusuf said these efforts reflect his administration’s goal of making Kano a major investment hub in Nigeria. He disclosed that a five-year strategic investment plan covering multiple sectors will soon be introduced to attract investors and improve state revenue.
