The Niger State Police Command has commenced full enforcement of the Inspector General of Police’s directive on the use of tinted glass permits.
Commissioner of Police, Adamu Elleman, personally supervised the exercise on Thursday, joining officers at several checkpoints across Minna, the state capital.
During the operation, motorists were asked to provide valid and verifiable documents for vehicles with tinted windows in line with the IGP’s instructions.
Some drivers expressed frustration over difficulties encountered while attempting to register and obtain permits through the designated online portal.
The command stressed that the crackdown is part of broader efforts to ensure compliance with national security measures and to regulate the use of tinted glass on vehicles across the state.
