Nollywood actress Liz DaSilva has revealed how she narrowly avoided a fatal mistake during a hospital MRI scan after almost forgetting metal pins in her wig.

The Yoruba movie star shared the frightening experience in a video posted on Instagram, explaining that she had booked an MRI appointment at a Lagos hospital on Tuesday morning.
According to her, she had already removed her earrings, bra, waist beads, and chain before the procedure but nearly proceeded into the magnetic machine with her wig still on.
The wig, she recalled, had metal pins attached to it.
“I was almost ready to go in. But I remembered there are pins in my wig. I quickly told the staff, and she said she was just about to ask me,” DaSilva narrated.
Overcome with emotion, the actress broke down in tears, thanking God for sparing her life. She admitted she could not imagine what might have happened if she had entered the machine with the pins still in place.
DaSilva stressed that she chose to share the experience publicly because, in her words, “if I had died from such a mistake, it would have still gone public.” She noted that her children would have lost their mother in such a preventable situation, adding that she was grateful to God for the wisdom to remember in time.
DaSilva added that she decided to share her experience publicly as a lesson for others, stressing the importance of paying attention to even the smallest details during medical procedures.
