“I Was in the Illuminati”, Seyi Shay Opens Up About Past Secret Society Allegations

Seyi Shay has shocked fans by claiming she was once a member of the Illuminati during the height of her fame.

She linked the alleged membership to her rise, rivalry with Tiwa Savage, and later career decline.

Nigerian singer Seyi Shay has shocked social media users after openly claiming she was once a member of the Illuminati.

During a candid appearance on the OffAir podcast, a clip of which surfaced on X on Thursday, the award-winning artiste spoke about her alleged past ties to the controversial secret group.

“That’s when I was in the Illuminati. That’s when I joined the Illuminati. That’s when it was official. Do you understand? I was an Illuminati member,” she said in the video.

The “Yolo Yolo” crooner went further to state that many people in the entertainment industry know those who were involved but often pretend to forget.

“People know who they are because, and maybe if they watch this, they probably won’t remember, you know, because people that do messed up stuff always forget. It’s not the fans, guys. It’s the people in the industry. It is not the fans. It is the people that work with me, work with her, work with this one, work with that one,” she explained.

In another part of the interview, Seyi Shay linked her past Illuminati membership to the early stages of her fame and a public rivalry with fellow singer Tiwa Savage.

“Back when Tiwa Savage and I used to beef, I was a member of the Illumînati. That was when I joined the Illumînati and started getting famous and rich. But then I left the Illumînati and fell off. My music career dîed immediately I left the Illumînati,” she claimed.
