Tragedy as Bride-to-Be Dies Two Days Before Traditional Wedding in Abia

Tragedy struck in Umuahia as bride-to-be Mirian Chinonso Sunday died two days before her wedding.

The young woman reportedly suffered internal bleeding and passed away despite emergency surgery.

Family and friends have been left heartbroken following the sudden death of a young Nigerian woman, Mirian Chinonso Sunday, just two days before her traditional wedding ceremony.

Mirian, who was preparing to marry her fiancé, Ugochukwu Princewill (popularly known as Donish Gold), reportedly died on Friday, October 3, in Umuahia, Abia State. Their traditional wedding was scheduled to hold on Sunday, October 5.

Two days earlier, on October 2, her fiancé had shared their pre-wedding photos on social media, expressing excitement about their upcoming ceremony. “Sunday we party. 5th October. Thank you for choosing me, my love truly, love is a beautiful thing,” he had written in the post.

According to reports, Mirian was on her way to the market when she suddenly began to feel severe chest pains. She was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, where doctors made frantic efforts to save her life.

Sources said she was diagnosed with internal bleeding and underwent emergency surgery, but sadly, she did not survive.

Her fiancé’s friend, Christian Ojike Agbaeze, confirmed the heartbreaking news on Saturday, describing her passing as a devastating loss to everyone who knew her.
