Media personality Daddy Freeze has revealed he married his ex-wife Opeyemi because she was pregnant.
He said they were too young and unprepared, adding he hasn’t spoken to his kids in years.
Popular media personality Daddy Freeze has opened up about his first marriage, revealing that he tied the knot with his ex-wife Opeyemi because she became pregnant.
Speaking in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Freeze said he and Opeyemi were too young and unprepared for marriage at the time.
“We had no business getting married because we were very young and immature. I was 24, and she was 22 when we married. She was pregnant. If she were not pregnant, I’m not sure we would have gotten married. So pregnancy was one of the factors that influenced the marriage,” he said.
The broadcaster also reflected on their divorce, claiming that he has been denied contact with his children for nearly a decade.
“My ex-wife and I are very stubborn. She will not hear, and I will not hear. It was two damaged people in a union. My only pain is marriage no work, can I see or talk to my kids on the phone? They’re out of the country. I traced them but I don’t want to sneak up on them. If they want to see me, a DM on social,” he stated.
