Adunni Ade Celebrates Court Victory Over Naija News in Defamation Suit
Adunni Ade has won her ₦100 million defamation suit against Polace Media Limited.
She said the verdict affirms truth and integrity after nearly two years of legal battle.
Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced that she has won her defamation lawsuit against Polace Media Limited, the parent company of Naija News.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress revealed that the legal battle, which began nearly two years ago, ended in her favour. The case stemmed from a 2023 publication that listed her among “six popular Nigerian celebrities” allegedly linked to Senator Dino Melaye, a report she described as false and damaging.
Following the report, Adunni Ade filed a ₦100 million lawsuit against the media company, citing defamation and invasion of privacy.
Sharing the news of her victory, she wrote:
“I won my case – Adunni Ade vs. Polace Media Limited (www.naijanews.com).
A false story was published about me, but truth stood tall.
This judgment reaffirms that privacy matters – and so does integrity.
Justice delayed isn’t justice denied. Many thanks to my lawyer Olumide Babalola LP.”
The actress also thanked the Nigerian judiciary for upholding justice, describing the outcome as a win for truth and accountability in the media industry.
