Aki Describes Content Creation as a Lot of Work, Praises Creators
Chinedu Ikedieze has praised Nigerian content creators, describing their craft as demanding yet vital to the entertainment industry.
He urged the government to support the sector, noting that creators work tirelessly and contribute significantly to the economy.
Veteran actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has described content creation as one of the most demanding yet fast-growing sectors in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Speaking with Sunday Scoop, Ikedieze emphasized that content creators deserve more recognition for the effort and creativity that go into producing engaging and relatable online material.
“Content creation is a whole lot of work. That’s another industry on its own. You have to give kudos to everybody who is a content creator,” he said.
The actor revealed that the process often costs him sleep, as he sometimes stays up until the early hours of the morning editing his videos.
“Sometimes, I stay up till 3 a.m. editing my videos, especially the ones I need to post the following day. Even when you send it to an editor, it may not be ready on time, so I do it myself. It’s a whole lot,” he explained.
Comparing it to filmmaking, Ikedieze noted that while acting involves detailed planning, content creation demands more spontaneity.
“For filmmaking, you prepare; you have a story. For content creation, you just wake up, an idea comes to your mind, you put it down, and that is it. Sometimes, my wife and I shoot content till 1 or 2 a.m.,” he added.
He also called on the government to recognize and support the content creation industry, saying it has become a major contributor to Nigeria’s economy.
“The government should come into it and see what they can do to help them, because as much as they are making life easier for themselves by making money, they are also contributing to the economy,” he said.
