BBNaija Season 10 finalist Kola Omotosho has clarified that his relationship with winner Imisi Ayanwale is purely platonic.
He described Imisi as “a sister” and said her victory felt like his own, adding that their friendship is built on mutual care and respect.
Big Brother Naija Season 10 finalist, Kolapo Omotosho, has addressed speculations about his relationship with the show’s winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, clarifying that their bond is strictly platonic.
Speaking with journalists after the prize presentation at MultiChoice headquarters in Lagos, Kola explained that Imisi is “like a sister” to him, adding that their friendship was built on mutual respect and care during their time in the house.
“Imisi is just my sister, and someone I care about in a platonic way. I’m happy that someone I care about the most in the house won. Her win is my win,” he said.
He added, “I knew she cared about me because she always looked out for me. Even when we were not in the same team, she always made sure I was okay. She’s my sister and will continue to be my sister.”
Reflecting on the outcome of the show, Kola admitted he initially wanted to win but was content seeing someone close to him take home the N150 million grand prize.
“I always thought I wanted to win, but at the end of the day, I was open to my sister, Imisi. She rooted for me. I’m grateful I have a sister,” he said.
Kola declined to discuss his relationship with fellow housemate Dede, saying, “I don’t want to talk about my relationship with Dede.”
The reality star also opened up about his biggest emotional struggle during the show, revealing that it was not being able to communicate with his parents.
Meanwhile, Imisi spoke warmly about Kola, confirming that their friendship was purely brotherly.
“Yes, he’s like a brother to me. Nothing beyond that,” she said.
