Frank Edwards Mourns Rev. Uma Ukpai, Recalls How He Was Healed of Asthma at Age 8
Frank Edwards has mourned the late Rev. Uma Ukpai, recalling how the evangelist healed him of asthma and pneumonia at age eight during a crusade in Enugu.
He praised Ukpai for his lasting impact, saying the cleric “finished well” after decades of global ministry.
Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Frank Edwards, has paid tribute to the late Reverend Uma Ukpai, recounting how the renowned evangelist healed him of asthma and pneumonia when he was a child.

The singer recalled the touching experience as he mourned the founder and president of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, whose passing was confirmed by his family on Monday.
According to the statement, Rev. Ukpai passed away on October 6 at the age of 80. His passing has since drawn tributes and condolences from many Nigerians, including prominent figures in the Christian community.
Reflecting on his encounter with the late cleric, Frank Edwards revealed that he received healing during one of Ukpai’s crusades in Enugu.
“At age 8, I got healed of asthma and pneumonia in one of your crusades in Enugu! Thank you for impacting the world in a special way! You finished well, Papa. Rest on,” he wrote.
