Tochi has accused activist Verydarkman of hypocrisy and chasing fame.
He said the activist has lost focus and now prioritizes material things over genuine social causes.
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tochukwu Okechukwu, popularly known as Tochi, has criticized controversial activist Verydarkman, accusing him of hypocrisy and self-interest.
Tochi’s outburst followed Verydarkman’s recent clash with businessman BLord over the trending issue of upgraded iPhones being sold as iPhone 17s.
In a post shared on his Instagram story, Tochi claimed that Verydarkman had lost focus and was now more interested in fame and material things than genuine activism.
He wrote:
“It takes real discipline to call yourself an activist; being stubborn doesn’t make you one. Now you’ve made a little money, and suddenly the nation’s problems have turned into an obsession with the iPhone 17. Back when you were in your room drinking pure water, you actually made sense.
You can’t claim to be an activist until you have enough to live comfortably and still choose to stand with the people. All these flashy phones and gadgets you’re flaunting, it’s all just noise. You’re not different from the rest of them, same game, same hypocrisy. You just want to sell your market.”
